Rev. Sarah Johnson

Rev. Sarah Johnson has been serving as Associate Pastor for Christian Formation and Congregational Care at Pinnacle Presbyterian since June 2011.

In her role at Pinnacle, Sarah provides pastoral guidance and imagination for ministries touching individuals between the ages of 25-50, with a particular focus toward families with young children, as well as, strengthening ministry to young adults and singles. She also coordinates Pinnacle’s congregation care ministries, provides pastoral oversight to the board of deacons and the Pinnacle Presbyterian Preschool, and shares regular preaching and teaching with Pinnacle’s other pastors.

Prior to accepting a call at Pinnacle, Sarah served at the Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago, first as a Lilly Pastoral Resident and then as Minister for Congregational Care.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Furman University and a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Seminary.

Sarah was born in Charlotte, N.C., and grew up in Methodist and Presbyterian Churches there and in nearby Greensboro, N.C., where her family still resides. In her free time, Sarah enjoys running and playing tennis, reading and writing, and spending time with family and friends.
